Spring 2021 I fell head over heels in love with a latin drag queen. A lot of drama ensued between her and myself, and then all her latin drag crew and friends and me. Eventually she burned me to the entire Drag and Trans community in Dallas and I would be at drag shows all alone, nobody talking to me, and some ppl giving me dirty looks or openly harassing me. I found myself wishing I could be at a ska-punk show with friends, dancing and having a good time with people who liked me and accepted me rocking out to bands and music I liked. Performing onstage with bands I liked, doing what I do best. And this song was born.
